After an impressive stay in Como, my Korean friend Marion and I continued our journey to Milan. Although part of our trip involved visiting Chicco’s historic stores in Milan, no one visits the “fashion capital” just for work.

On the way to Milan, my mind buzzed with images of the city, often described as a dream for fashion enthusiasts. Milan, though not the capital of Italy, is the country’s economic and commercial hub and one of the world’s top four fashion capitals, alongside Paris, New York, and London.

Upon arrival, the most striking sight was the Duomo. Nothing compares to the grandeur of the Duomo di Milano, a symbol of Gothic and Romanesque architecture. At the Duomo, I felt enveloped in a mystical space, admiring the artistic beauty of its architectural details.

Equally thrilling was strolling through Quadrilatero d’Oro, the epitome of the fashion world. Every corner and shop exuded splendor and luxury, from Armani, Hugo Boss, Versace, and Chanel to Prada, Gucci, and many other prestigious brands. This was not just a shopping experience but an incredible journey through the history and culture of Italian fashion.

As Marion and I walked through Quadrilatero d’Oro, it felt like we were part of a grand fashion show, amidst a breathtaking setting, with a perfect blend of classic and contemporary styles. Watching the elegantly dressed people, who seemed like models on a grand catwalk, I realized that fashion in Milan is not just part of the culture but a way of life, the very breath of its people.

Milan, with its dazzling art and opulent fashion, opened up a new world of endless fascination and discovery for me. I was intrigued and admired the fashion brands here, pondering their journeys and the secrets behind becoming iconic symbols that attract millions of devoted admirers.
