Some may call him “mad” for pedaling a bicycle laden with bottles of wine across the city, but to me, Andre is an artist in the world of wine.
He recounts tales of delivering wine on his beloved bike—his favorite sport—and casually calling up the general managers of five-star hotels, inviting them to join him for a glass. His stories make me smile endlessly. It’s a delightful kind of madness, an artful approach to living life in a way that’s uniquely his own. I find myself endlessly intrigued by this fascinating wine cyclist.

I first met Andre at an event he hosted. Our conversation, centered around wine, was infused with passion and charisma. Then, he extended an invitation to visit his secret showroom—an offer I couldn’t refuse, though I had no idea it would lead to so many extraordinary discoveries.
When I finally stepped into the showroom, I was utterly astonished. It wasn’t a typical wine shop but an artistic space tucked away in a quiet warehouse in District 7. Every detail, every corner, exuded sophistication and impeccable taste.
“This showroom was designed as a space to savor wine, and I can cook for special guests here,” Andre said proudly.
With 20 years of experience, including stints at Michelin-starred restaurants in Amsterdam and later managing F&B operations for luxury five-star hotels in Asia and Vietnam, Andre’s expertise and character are perfectly reflected in his showroom.
When I arrived, he and his assistant had meticulously prepared everything. From the ambiance to the music, the glassware to the arrangement of the space—every detail made me feel the genuine care he extends to his guests. We began our conversation over a glass of smooth Italian Chianti, bursting with ripe red fruit aromas.
“Just be authentic, and everything will fall into place. There will always be customers who appreciate your unique values,” he shared.
Fifteen years of love for Vietnam were evident in every word he spoke. “The Vietnamese taught me patience,” he said, his eyes gleaming with pride. He deeply values the hard work, resilience, and companionship of the Vietnamese people in his professional journey.

Andre isn’t merely selling wine; he’s telling stories—stories about life, passion, and a way of living that is simple yet sincere.
Perhaps it’s the fact that his showroom isn’t open to just anyone, combined with its distinctive style, that makes it feel like a hidden gem—reserved for those curious and fortunate enough to be invited.
